Teak (Tectona), also called "jati" the south and southeast of Asia, and is commonly found as a member of monsoon forest vegetation in the area of South and South East Asia.
An important property of teak is its extremely good dimensional stability. It is strong, of medium weight, and of average hardness. The timber is known to be practically imperishable under cover.
